So here’s the story. My pimples started about 2 years ago (almost). It was the last quarter of 2012, months after I gave birth to my son. A big pimple start to pop out on my face. Thinking it was just because of my monthly period so I ignore it. But I noticed that it started to double or triple before the year ends. It has pus and is reddish. Most of my pimples resides within the nose area and forehead. I also notice my face began to oil up. I was worried since this never happened to me even in my puberty stage… Never!! So I began to take action. In the family, back then we were a big fan of Pond’s product especially their facial wash ever since I was college. What I did is I combined Pond’s anti-bacterial and this soap called Defensil. Actually, I just discovered this soap at home. I saw this small SAMPLE soap sitting in our room. My father said it was given as a sample at a local known pharmacy store maybe he went there to buy his meds. So here I am trying this soap.

This product by the way is from the makers of the well-known kojic soap Kojie San.
Upon using this soap, I can feel the soap is doing its job. I felt a stinging sensation and somehow my face feels so tight. I know it might be scary but that is my indication that the soap is working. I didn’t put any powder or makeup on my face that time. This is so that the healing process would be faster. I believe makeup sometimes tends to provoke or worsen pimples or bumps in your face. It is a matter of ” tiis ganda”.
It indeed dried up my pimples. In the process, it heals it. I was amazed by this soap considering the fact that it is very affordable. The small bar is only 35Php. It didn’t leave any marks or blemish along the process. It is matter of patience and discipline though. Patience because this is not an overnight thing that once you use the soap your pimple will be gone. Discipline in the sense that stop pricking your freaking pimples and touching your face as much as possible. I admit I’m guilty of this things. I can’t stop picking on my pimples.
I don’t have any negative things to say on this product. This works amazingly on me. You can also use this as a maintenance since it claims to protect the T-zone from having pimples.
It is still best to consult a dermatologist if in case your pimple worsens.

Yay!!! Glad to know I’m not the only one who got these nice results from using this soap. Actually I have the same story as yours. Up until recently, I’ve never experienced big pimple breakouts before. So I panicked big time when I noticed the start of a nightmare. Defensil really helped solve most of the problem. i have pimples ,acne scar and also the dark spot is defensil helps remove dark spot ? or you have other product recommend for removing dark spot ?

You can buy it at Watsons for 49 pesos only.I have a review on that on my page… I also drink Rosy Peel,it is a herbal dietary supplement..might also help control or minimize your pimples.. One thing,also use Kojic Soap preferably Kojie San on your face,.

Hi there! Before going to sleep and in the morning wash your face with Defensil soap first then Kojie San. Lather the soap and leave it for a minute. Wash your face thoroughly. After that pat your face with dry clean towel. Then I would also recommend using a Kojie San Toner (43 pesos only) first then putting the QuickFx Pimple Eraser on your pimples. I hope this helps.
I been using this almost a week now and there’s no new pimples all there’s left now is the dark spot 😀

To remove blackheads or whiteheads I would strongly advise you use a comedone extractor or blackhead remover. I got mine at Watsons for 50 pesos only.
hi, last November nagkaron ako ng break out. before kasi I am using ponds and wala naman problem. kaso nga, nagkaron ako ng break out. I tried, some products such as tea tree, kojie san (which pinalitan ko kasi may nireccommed sa akin na ibang kojic soap), Royale Kojic pero parang wala din. so i’ll try to look for defensil, hopefully may mkuha ako dito sa SM Naga, or sa drug store. and hopefully it will work this time. thank you 🙂
Hi Ella, thanks for dropping by on my blog. I would also recommend using Herbal Himalayas Anti-Pimple Facial Wash. You can find it in Mercury Drug stores and SM or Watsons, It is green in color. There is a small tube for only 25 pesos that you can try. I would also advised you to try the tretinoin cream 0.025%,it is quite pricey though. I went to dermatologist last Feb since I have a bad breakout that lead to acne scars. My dermatologist prescribed me this tretinoin cream and it works wonderfully, my scars or blemishes are almost gone. It is a life saver. I bought it on my derma for 350 pesos but if you will buy it in Mercury Drugstores there is a brand called Stieve-A it is 540 pesos. It is worth it. I have tried tons of product to almost no avail. But this is one is like a miracle to me. It goes a long way too.

Hello po 🙂 ahm may pimples po ako. Im 17 yrs old. 2nd yr. Highschool palang meron nako hanggang ngayong 1st yr college. Lahat na po ata ng pang pamwala ng tgyawat ginawa ko mapaHome remedies. Lahat po pati kojie lahat ayaw po mwala. Then ngayon gumagamit po ako ng Sulfur soap. Ung pangtanggal din po ng pimples. Pero wala padin pong effects 😦 effective po ba talaga defensil?

it might minimize the dark spots but not to an extent.. i would recommend using Tretinoin cream for dark spots left by acne..
