Himalaya Herbals Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash

I just want to post another review on one of my favorite brand of facial washes which is Himalaya Herbals (sometimes i switch the 2 words, hehe…).  I just bought one of their face washes the HH Lemon Fash Wash for Oily Skin. I actually have their other face wash which is the Purifying Neem Wash, the smallest tube for 25Php only and their Daily Gentle Exfoliating Scrub (which I ran out already). But since the weather is really hot and humid my face tends to oil up. One time I look in the mirror and got freaked out because it is so shiny due to oiliness (ewww!!). I bought this in Mercury DrugStore. I was looking for a smaller tube but they don’t have it available. I ended up buying this big tube and got complimentary facial moisturizer in sachet.

Himalaya Herbals Lemon Face Wash

Here’s a photo of the Himalaya Herbals Lemon Face Wash. It comes with a free moisturizing face cream.

What it does:

Himalaya’s Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash is a soap-free, herbal formulation that gently cleanses your face and removes excess oil. Blended with Lemon, an astringent and cooling agent, and Honey, which has natural, deep cleansing properties, the face wash leaves your skin clean without feeling dry and stretched.

Key ingredients:

  • Lemon has an overall soothing and astringent effect. The citric acid present in Lemon lightens and softens your skin. It also helps fade freckles and age spots and eliminates blackheads. Lemon removes grime and dirt and leaves your skin feeling supple and smooth.
  • Honey is very beneficial for the skin as it attracts water to maintain moisture as well as providing nourishment to the skin. It is also a natural antiseptic as it contains antimicrobial agents that kill bacteria.

Directions for use:

Moisten face, apply a small quantity of Oil Clear Lemon Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off and pat dry. Use twice daily.

Pack size:

50g, 100g, 150g and 200g

Pros:

  • It cleanses my face well.
  • I like that this facial wash is clear and not soapy. I’m not a fan of facial washes that lathers too much.
  • It has tiny beads but is not harsh on my face.
  • The oiliness on my skin was minimized. Usually when I wake up  I can feel my face is quite oily and shiny.
  • Hypoallergenic
  • I love the smell, it is not strong.
  • It goes a long way.
  • Herbal (free of parabens)
  • Cruelty-free (not tested on animals)

Cons:

  • Not available on all drugstores .
  • A bit pricey for me. That big tube was priced before at 124Php but according to the cashier it increased already at 149Php.

I just love this product since this is more on the herbal or organic side. I have lost confidence on other known products out there. For me they’re just almost the same. I know that not all product are suitable to one’s face, on my case I haven’t had any allergic reaction to face wash since I really make sure I checked the product itself online before buying it.

This is all for now folks!! Til my next blog!!

Kojie-san Cleanser Toner

Hi there! I’m back! It’s been awhile since I posted my last review here. Been busy with my love life (just kidding!). But yeah it’s true! But being busy doesn’t mean I’m not taking care of my skin especially my face. So here’s another review of mine.

After using my 2nd bottle of Eskinol and Belo Essentials Hydrating Toner which I didn’t used up  the entire bottles. I decided to go for a different brand. So I decided to go for Kojie San’s toner plus cleanser. The reason of choosing this is because I don’t want to go for a whitening toner anymore. Well, i don’t know ironically my main reason of using toner is to eliminate my pimples, cleanse my face and diminish those nasty and stubborn blemishes caused by my effin pimples.

6 reasons why you should use facial toner

Dr. King explains all of the toner benefits:

It shrinks pores.
Applying a small amount of toner, like Nelsons Pure & Clear Balancing Toner ($10.95 atNelsons Pure and Clear), to a soft cotton ball or pad and gently blotting and wiping your face with it will remove oil and give the appearance of smaller pores.

It gives your skin pH balance.
Our skin is naturally acidic, normally with a pH balance of between five and six. After cleansing, due to the alkaline nature of soap, the pH balance of skin gets disturbed. When this happens your skin needs to work overtime to restore the balance (and that may result in oil), but using a toner helps to restore this balance quickly.

It adds a layer of protection.
Toners can help close pores and tighten cell gaps after cleansing, thus reducing the penetration of impurities and environmental contaminants into the skin. It can even protect and remove chlorines and minerals present in tap water.

It moisturizes.
Some toners are humectants, which means that they help to bind moisture to the skin.

It refreshes skin.
Toner can also be used in lieu of washing your skin when it’s oily or dirt. It will leave your skin revitalized, even when you’re on-the-go.

It can prevent ingrown hairs.
Toners containing glycolic or other alpha hydroxy acids can help to prevent ingrown hairs, so it also aids in grooming.

Kojie-san Cleanser Toner

We swear by the power of this toner. It easily lightens the skin with regular use. It has a dual action formula that is made from Panax Ginseng, which cleanses and tones the skin. Best to use at night after a long day to flush skin impurities.

 Kojie San's Cleanser+ Toner.

(Above is the photo of the Kojie San’s Cleanser+ Toner. That is my dog Bubbles btw in the background. LOL!!)

Pro’s:

  • I like the packaging of the toner. It’s kinda looks CUTE.
  • I like the smell of this toner too. Not too strong.
  • It is refreshing on the face.
  • It cleanses my face. My basis is how dirty my cotton pad/ball is.
  • Affordable. There are 2 sizes. I bought the small one it costs 43 pesos. It somehow goes a long way. It depends how much you put on your face.
  • Readily available on almost all drugstores and supermarkets.

Con’s:

  • I don’t know if it really helps in lightening my blemishes.
  • I think this toner is just merely for cleansing your face
  • There might be a stinging sensation especially if you have open wounds or pimples on your face.

Overall Rating:  3/5

Will I purchase it again? I’m not sure. I might look for other toners. Right now I’m thinking of going for Celeteque or other toners once I used up the entire bottle.

🙂

**Update: Hi guys!! As of now I’m sticking to this toner and for months haven’t changed my toner. Since my tretinoin cream and vitamins helped a lot on  my acne and post-acne issues I don’t have plans of changing my toner . I’m cool with this. I don’t want to opt for expensive ones that doesn’t deliver great results.
